Project of the Week

Happy Monday, everyone! The Project of the Week is where I will display a piece of artwork I have recently completed (or a piece that is in the process of completion.) I hope you enjoy!POSITIVE-2

My self portrait, done with a 2H and 2B pencil.

This is a self portrait I did for my art class a few weeks back. We were given a mirror and an hour to draw ourselves, and I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. Currently, this drawing is being used to create a more large-scale self portrait, one made of comic strips and me spending hours hunched over my desk working. I am really excited with how it’s going, and once it’s finished I’ll feature it here on the blog.

In other news, today is the first day back to school for me from the winter break. I wish the break had lasted longer, but I’m excited to go back and see all of my friends. Exams are in less than a month, which is very nerve-wracking. I always find the last month of the semester to be the most stressful; with all the ISUs, exams, and presentations, there’s never a moment of rest. I’ll just be thankful when it’s over. Unfortunately, my school doesn’t give us a break after the exams-we have one day to go see our exam marks and then we switch over to semester two. I wish we would at least get the rest of the week of, but what can you do? It’s been a very busy semester, but I’ve had fun and I can certainly say I have learned a lot!

If you’re in school right now, how is it going? How do you feel around exam time? How do you cope with all of the work? Feel free to comment below!

Have a great week, everyone!

Jenna
